Need a LOT more retention on EK for that to even be remotely possible. Carolina may give up a 2nd for him at his full cap hit, but if you want Pesce out of Raleigh, EK's got to come at most with a 6 million cap hit

I think that's unrealstic - I bet if you get the cap hit down to 8-8.5 it would work. The hit here is 6.75 anyways.

Cap doesn't work at 8. After moving Pesce, Carolina realistically have 6 million after TDA. It cannot be higher than that

TDA is done, it'll be announced tomorrow. That's happening regardless of EK65

DeAngelo was announced as done by both general managers... stop it. It'll be announced tomorrow

A lot has happened since that trade was agreed to in principle. If they're serious about EK65 then there's no need to TDA.

It's not just agreed in principle, it's done. The issue is they have to wait until the day DeAngelo was traded because Philly are retaining, it's a done deal

The literal quote from DW was "we have a deal in principle"

Briere said it's done and they're waiting for the date to pass to announce it so the league doesn't throw a tantrum...

This is 24-25 so the cap could be entirely different

if this is the contract Pesce wanted he would be re-signed already. He wants 7-8 years and I believe 6.5M is the minimum

It doesn't change EK's cap hit

Correct but Carolina's cap hit and cap space will be different which is why it is kind of dumb to try and predict this far in the future

But it's still an EK at about 8 million that will be 34 in this scenario that still has a long list of injury concerns with that leg
