I think this makes sense for all three teams, but Seattle is overpaying for Nylander and Brodie. Get rid of one of those firsts or at least change it to a later round and you're probably onto something. Seattle is in win-now mode and could use an elite forward in his prime, Toronto needs cap space and good prospects, and Chicago can leverage the cap space to take Murray and get a good prospect and picks in return.

1. Nylander improves the Kraken marginally at best
2. Shane Wright is an untouchable for Seattle
3. Chicago also declines because Murray and Robertson possess zero value to them

Nylander would become their top player and give them a 40 goal scorer with the potential of 50 goals.

You don't get a young superstar like nylander without giving up prospects.

Chicago can use a starting goalie who won 2 cups and talented prospect and still have cap space all for a 2nd round pick.

Laughable. No one’s trading top prospects for a guy who will cost 10m and is a UFA. And Murray has negative value. And Robertson has 0 value. Also Brodie has nearly no value. Notice a trend?

So let's pretend the Kraken would actually move wright, there's no way the can afford to move out Larson. He and Dunn make up this teams best defense pair. They don't get to the playoffs without them.

Nylander isn’t even close to a superstar he just one of those pretty damn good players.

there has to be a restriction for what prospects you would give up and those you wouldn’t and Wright not only crosses the restriction he flies directly over it. And Nylander is going to cost like 10M which nobody in their right mind should be paying him

Murray wouldn’t even the third option in net

People keep ignoring the fact that Seattle has to re-sign Vince Dunn, so Seattle really only has 1-2 Million in cap space. Unless there's more creativity on the cap none of these high profile trades work.

1. You're crazy if you think Nylander improves the kraken 'marginally at best' when their top scorer is McCann with 70 points. One thing they could really use is a true elite forward.
2. Every team has 'untouchables' that aren't actually untouchable, Wright included. There are very few true 'untouchables' in this league.
3. Maybe Chicago does decline this trade because they want more for Murray. Robertson absolutely has value though, just not as much as he had a couple seasons ago since he's been injured. He's only 21 and is considered an NHL caliber player already. If he stays healthy he'd likely play for the Blackhawks next season, so they'd probably see value in that.
