Description
Tried my best to make realistic trades (ie no Holtz, schmid, swayman, lysell, etc) value is something that is all over the place so I won't be surprised to have fans on both sides of a trade like or dislike a trade which is ultimately a good thing as 1 side overwhelming saying yes to a trade may be an indication of not enough in the deal.

I understand that there is a good chance that scheifele and/or Hellebuyck are still on the team come September. This wouldn't be the end of the world but to get future and current assets (vanecek, debrusk) is great as we'd be competitive but have a bright future.

Lmk what you think and if any deals need to get altered to make it more realistic.

If anyone has any ideas for trade 4 lmk as the log jam can't be the same as this past year so what player is more valuable and what would be a trade to expect for them.

Thanks and have a great day.

Trades
1.
WPG
  1. DeBrusk, Jake
  2. 2026 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Jets do a swap to get debrusk who is a good 2nd line winger who got 30 goals and can be a good piece into the future or deadline trade piece if out of the playoffs and a 2026 1st that is top 12 protected
BOS
  1. Harkins, Jansen
  2. Scheifele, Mark ($3,062,500 retained)
  3. 2025 5th round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Boston swaps debrusk for scheifele who is a top 6 center that scored over 40 goals and was one of the most consistent ppg players for over 5 years. Also get Harkins who was elite at the ahl level and isn't am ahl player who can be a solid bottom 6 player if given the chance over someone like brown. Jets add a pick to even it out slightly as scheifele is the best player in the deal a 1st isn't a guarantee but could maybe become a roster player.
2.
WPG
  1. Robertson, Nicholas
Additional Details:
Jets get a injury riddled prospect that really could use a change from the massive expectations from the toronto market. Plays full season with the moose then see where he's at
TOR
  1. Stanley, Logan [RFA Rights]
  2. 2026 6th round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Leafs get a new schenn that is young and cost controlled for the future. Stanley is 6'6 from Ontario could be a nice bet to really blossom in a bottom pair minutes and be a great guy to stick up for teammates into the future (beyond reeves deal) get an extra pick to hope and find a gem later on
3.
WPG
  1. Casey, Seamus [Reserve List]
  2. Vanecek, Vitek
  3. 2025 1st round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
This is just the base of the trade as prospects and values are up in the air. Also depends on trade market and whether there's a long term contract in place. Not saying this is exactly what the deal would be (jets fans may say it's not enough nj might think it's too much for a rental)

Value basically goes along the line of goalie to replace Hellebuyck (young emerging goalie or tandem goalie) 1st round pick and a pretty good prospect (1st vanecek and Casey is my best guess)
NJD
  1. Hellebuyck, Connor
Additional Details:
Would be nice to push for Holtz or more nhl ready players but really depends on the market
4.
WPG
COL
  1. Dillon, Brenden
  2. Heinola, Ville
Additional Details:
What's each of these players worth as one most likely will be traded and the other being the 6th dman. Both have a good amount of value (Dillon good hard playoff style game vs heinola potential plays both sides and only 22 years old) doesn't have to Colorado but just whatever team gives the best return for one or both of these players

I only made it a 2025 first with nj as there are conditions on the 2024 first which you would know if you looked at it. Nj may have to trade that 2024 first to sj if they make the conference finals and with helle that could possibly happen so it shifts to 2025. I made the boston 1st 2026 and they don't have a 2024 one and probably don't want 3 years in a row with no first round pick. Just because the picks are later doesn't change that they should rebuild. Would you rather a 2024 2nd or wait for a 2026 1st. I'm taking the first all day and doesn't change that they try and stay competitive genius

I’d rather keep the players and take a run in a weaker than normal Central and add at the deadline or if it goes south move 55 and 37 and Dillon and Nino, we’ll I might we sign Nino! I feel you would get a better return at that point.

It's just not a good thing to run into these season with both probably wanting to cash in on major paydays based on what deals they have been on. Even if the jets do good we lose them for nothing and that can have a butterfly effect that ripples years just based on what we could have done. As much as I want them to be jets for life it's not ideal to keep them or lose them for Nothing I'm fine running into the season with one of them but not both. The jets won't full sell at the deadline like you think (2021 as an example copp traded but bought as well) it just can't be losing them for nothing that is a doomsday scenario.

Maybe, i think the Jets are the only team that would consider giving 37 9 million. Scheifele is a deadline deal unless you can get a very good return. you gain the cap space for next season. And it makes way for younger players as you have expressed is important. And I agree! There are lots of good players in the organization. I was very pessimistic a few weeks ago. I’m still cautious but I like the overall feel of this group. With a Bowness defense system and buy in from everyone. 55 has to get on board in a contract year or he doesn’t get what he hopes. No Wheeler will be empowering. I am optimistic about the roster as it is. Maybe a Brett Pesce away!

Could just be a rental as well maybe lower Casey to stillman in that case but regardless Hellebuyck would really put nj over the top and if Hellebuyck goes you still have schmid and can save the cap Hellebuyck would have taken to find a new tandem goalie for like 3m
