Description

Assuming rumors they want Schmid in Utica to start are true.

Boqvist uses Bastian's contract as a template

To make it work Bahl gets his QO. Sorry Bahl.

This leaves $2.5M for a goalie.

Even then barely made it work. Other goalies I see as listed as "potential trade targets" are Hellebuyck, Gibson, and Hart. I don't see the cap space for any of those though.

Not the most familiar with Calgary. Rumor is they need to get Wolf playing time in the league so need to move Vladar.

They also seem like they are going to be in cap trouble so figure they want an ELC winger. They have 7 $1M+ UFA defenders once the one on IR comes back. Ergo Stillman.

Thompson/Clarke could be there instead I guess too.

Vladar would be the wrong goalie to target as he isn't very good at the NHL level, and especially for that return.
Schmid is most likely an outright better goalie than Vladar at this point in time.
