I'm not 100% convinced of the signing either, but I've seen him enough times in the PIT v. WSH games that I know when he's on he can bring a Nick Bonino-type presence that PIT has sorely missed. Also, from his time in WSH (and hopefully now in PIT) it seems that Eller needs fast wingers to stay effective offensively (he's still quite good defensively); so I think pairing him with Rust and Johnsson/O'Connor will do wonders for him.

From the team that paid a second to get him, this is accurate. As long as you don't expect him to skate.....like at all you'll probably be fine. He can still finish in front of the net. Maybe motorize his skates?

are you saying that a third team takes on additional retention to the $3.4M or thats the full retention amount amongst SJS and the third team? Cause i'm not moving POJ, Pickering and 2 1sts for $3.4M total retention. Specially given that Petry won't be in that deal, He isn't waiving for SJS.
