These are off, but even if they weren’t - bringing in Garland and EK65 basically means you’re saying goodbye to Necas next year. Might as well trade him now.

I really don't think the Canucks would want Pesce anymore. They have Cole as a stop gap next to Hughes and Willander for long term so theres no real point to him unless the price was cheap

Cole is a 1 year signing, he will be 35 in February and is a lhd.

willander is atleast 2 years from N.A and likely 3 -4 before contributing in the nhl, need a long term partner for hughes asap.

canucks would definitely be interested in Pesce for Garland, the 1st would have to be contingent on pesce signing an extension first.
