Caufield > Matthews -> (Cole was on pace for 60 if he didn't get injured, Matthews got 40, and cole has playoff experience in the finals)
Future Slaf > Nylander -> (Nylander is soft and overrated, I know slaf had a slow start but he is predicted to put up 90+ pts in year 2)
Anderson > Knies -> ( Knies is a wanabe anderson that but isn't good in playoffs)

The picks kind of balance the trade out. Even then id give the edge to the leafs.

You are joking right? The leafs are clearly in win now mode and being on pace means nothing, what matters is wlif you actually show up and can perform. Slaf being better than Nylander in the future is not what the leafs care about. They are trying to win now. Knies looked really impressive in all of his NHL games to me.

Both teams decline. TOR for obvious reasons, MTL because they aren’t giving up their 2 best future players for rentals. Caufield is also sorta like Zegras at Anaheim, where he is so marketable he can’t really be traded, plus he has a very great contract

Caufield got 75 points and 48 goals since he play under St-Louis (83games) He's gonna stay in montréal loll.

Slaf could be one of the best power foward in the league, futur will tell us.

Matthews is great but if he really want 14m per season no ty.

Wow, you might just be the most deluded Habs fan I've run into on this site

Caufield will never be better than Matthews. And will spend time each year on the IR
Slaf might be a star in the future, but there's more of a chance he turns into Lafreniere.
Anderson is an injury prone risk, who's put up more than 40 points once in his career.....career high in MTL 32.

We'll keep our superior guys and the even bigger overpayment of picks
