      fair enough it's just they helped multiple teams retain last season. Also ultimately a 750k retention for a single season (If even, just a few months at most).

      They had cap space last year to get involved this way, but won’t this year unless they move player/s at the deadline or before.

      We can tell you're a Flames fan. I'm not sure Tanev is an upgrade on Ceci let alone worth a 1st + more. Maybe 5 years ago, but not anymore.

      Tanev is one of the best defensive players in the entire league. Ceci is just there...

      When healthy, Tanev is an upgrade over Ceci by a landslide.

      Detroit passes, We don't need a 5'9" LW No reason Sprong shouldn't put up similar numbers in Detroit as he did in Seattle. He'll easily be worth at least a 2nd round pick
