Preds decline. They ain’t trading a 1st to Arizona unless Keller is involved.

I think they could accept . They need someone to replace johansen and Duchene. Also , they want to move fabbro so its a win for both team

I mean it's TBL's 1st rounder not their own and a 2nd in return plus the better player, it's pretty close to fair.

I don't think the Preds do it but, it's not outlandish

You sure? I'm kind of okay with this deal tbh..

I'd love a bigger deal with Keller involved for sure but this doesn't seem too off the wall imo.

It isn't outlandish, and I'm not vehemently opposed, but I don't think Schmaltz is the right fit for NSH. I'd be more open to it if his NMC was ending, not beginning.

Additionally, Trotz has come out in interviews and basically said this is a year for development of young players and I'm just not certain if Schmatlz makes sense because of this. If this was Crouse instead I'd be more on board with this trade, but I think NSH's forward group is pretty solidified after the Gurianov signing.

Moving that TBL 1st is a bad idea. TBL has to decline at some point with the way they continually trade picks and their core will eventually age. Holding onto that pick could lead to getting the franchise forward Trotz wants.

TBL will decline and if the pick was 2028 I would have a tough time trading that pick away because it could be high but, they have a 99.99% chance of still being pretty good and competing for a cup this year and the next.
The 2025 pick is at best around the 19th pick and at worse the 32nd
