I know BUF has the cap space, but I'm confused as to why they are retaining on Olofsson.

Retaining cap has value in trades, but it doesn't make a lot of sense here. PHI should be able to take on his full cap.

Phily have no use for VO, so probably they take another half of cap hit and trade him to contender for big return. VO at 1,25 mil is worth late 1st.

I wouldn't accept that if i were PHI. If Ostlund were included I would probably be persuaded for that, but VO does nothing for me and that 1st is going to be a late one, in a decent draft at best.
