I'd keep McBain. I love Garland, but management decided he was expendable. Schmaltz, Keller, and Maccelli are enough small forwards for a team's top six. Maybe too many.
Garland had an off year and maybe he'd rebound, but McBain as a 3C is obviously better in the bottom six than Garland. Especially factoring the contract.

Would love to have McBain in Van. Hell, they should offer sheet him (would GMs be offended if AZ got an offer sheet?) or offer some futures for him.

dont see AZ trading McBain - unless it hug overpay - hes 23 and big, as rookie 26 pts, amongst league leaders in hits, strong on PK, decent in circle. think they have him penciled in as bottom 6 C for years.
