Pesce would be a great second pairing guy behind Reinbacher. Mailloux or Barron could then be traded for a top forward

Why would the Habs want to extend a soon to be 30 year old Pesce to a seven year contract. Again more silliness allowing a important player on a contending team, to negotiate a contract with another team, when he under contract for a full season.

Actually montreal won't even sign him for FREE as a ufa, they've clearly made a plan and they haven't changed it, hughes said they will not sign any vetran (over the ago of 27) to long term deals

They won’t sign him in ufa but if they acquired him they will be more than happy to resign him
