I like Toropchenko but he needs to fill out his frame and stay healthy as he will have more competition for playing time on the Blues with all the new faces. This could be $250k too high for him to be 4th liner for both years. Not much, but a slight overpay for his potential to play in the middle 6.

This is not 100% buriable and I'm not 100% sure he stays in the NHL. That said, even if he's just a 4th liner, it's not a bad deal.

It practically is anyway, counting only a little over 100K on cap if he’s buried, which doesn’t do much for a team like St. Louis.

Good point. St. Louis isn't expected to compete this year, so $100L on the cap won't be an issue.
