I have a hard time believing the coaching staff would roll out a lineup with all their LD's on ELC's.

I alos wouldn't be surprised if you see Riechel on his off wing playing with Bedard.

Switch Reichel/Johnson and I'm not sure if they'll run with all kids on the LD, at least to start, so Tinordi will likely be in the lineup. Looks good though.

Right now, the only LHD that's not on an ELC in their org is Jarrett Tinordi, so I'd be fine running this out there if they don't make another move. I could totally see them signing a vet like Nick Holden to a deal to be a mentor to these guys, similar to how I heard the Sens had used him.

Also don't hate a younger, less-heralded guy like Reichel getting his own line here. First, I like the idea of surrounding Bedard with a pair of trusty veterans (bonus points if he rebuilds Tyler Johnson enough to bring back an asset at the deadline); second, giving Reichel the 2nd line shelters him and lets him develop a little better, since you have to assume most teams are going to be throwing their best defensive players at the Bedard line, leaving Reichel to hopefully feast on lesser competition.

yeah could definitely be tinordi on the 3rd pair. Davidsons made it sound like theyre going to give reichel a real shot at being a center since he was a pretty good one in the AHL. Could certainly find his way to bedards wing at some point but I think they give him an extended run at C to start.

I think Korchinski gets 9 games and sent back to Seattle. No need for him to be in NHL this year. Don’t rush prospects in a rebuild. Same for Guttman. He’s coming off shoulder surgery and hawks have like 15 NHL forwards. Put him in AHL and let Entwistle and Johnson cycle in.

yeah korchinski almost definitely will end the season back in seattle but it sounds like the hawks are willing to burn a year of his elc and give him over 9 games (my guess is he plays around 20 this season) if thats best for his development

At some point we have to put Reichel and Bedard on the same line for a bit to see if they can compliment each other well

Tyler Johnson didn’t play C last year and is not playing center this season either.

My bad. Should have been more specific. Reichel on Bedard's line and Johson on the 2nd. AA can center a line like he did at the end of last year and see if his play keeps improving.
