Wow, that San Jose trade is brutal. What do they get out of this? The islanders get Nylander and Murray is buried in San Jose, which means San Jose is retaining over 7MM to get "some picks or prospects" from the islanders.

Classic leaf's trade: everyone retains money to make it work for the Leafs without any consideration as to why another team would benefit.

a bit ridiculous, SJS taking like 15mil in salary for what? CGY gives up the better player and retains for a guy who was a healthy scratch for half the playoffs, entering his payday year, and hasnt established himself in 5 professional seasons. Leafs over cap and still just 19 skaters? A third line and fourth line that promise zero offense?
