Easy there tiger. NSH is probably 2-3 years away from compete mode. Y’all just sold off most of your big name forwards and have a crap ton of cap tied up in retainers and buyout contracts

Last year we were 1 win away from making the playoffs with a last push from our young players because josi, forsberg and duchene were hurt. Besides duchene which is still a mystery to me who did we lose. Johansen is lazy that takes more shifts off than he does on. O’Reilly will give us winning center that can help our young centers. In this scenario getting Tarasenko would help as well. Do I thing this team could win a cup? No but it would make the playoffs and maybe win a series or two if saros can get hot. And since this team has no desire to rebuild and tank for a elite talent like it should might as well go the other way to get out of the mushy middle

you should have more confidense on ur team nashville thrives when they are underdogs and i think their roster is good but if they can just add 1 more top 6 center and maybe even a winger too they are really close to a stanley cup, ofc im gonna get hate for saying this but idc.

You were one win away last year but now you’ve shipped out Duchene and RyJo. Plus last year you benefited from a half season boost of having Granlund, Nino and Jeannot too (which you won’t have).

ROR won’t have nearly the impact you think he will playing only third line minutes plus Tarasenkos injury history just won’t magically disappear.

Duchene/Johansen/Forsberg/Josi all missed like the last 1/4 of the season, which was when they actually started winning games and was after the deadline when Jeannot, Granlund, and Ekholm were shipped as well. People are sleeping on this roster

I really only have issues with the lines. I don't see ROR not being 1C next year. Despite the next steps that both Pars and Glass took last year, I'd rather them continue to develop. Sure move them up and down depending on who they are playing to give more experience and ice time, but ROR should be the 1C most of the time next year. Also, I don't see a world where Novak is playing 4th line minutes, especially on his off-side.

This lineup to me almost seems like too much. I feel like I'd rather have one of Laf or Tarasenko instead, and personally I'd lean toward Laf. It doesn't make sense to me to relegate Novak to the situation that Tomasino was in when Hynes was here. If we were to get one of them, it might look more like

Forsberg - ROR - Tomasino
Novak - Glass/Pars - Laf/Evangelista
Nyquist - Pars/Glass - Evangelista/Laf
Trenin - Sissons - Gurianov

In my opinion our line up is so much better than like minnesota or the jets we should be able to atleast be 3rd in our division easily.
I remember people saying that boston will win a stanley cup or toronto grin its funny how people are wrong and go in to the hype trains always.

But all of the other rosters you were competing against, were also dealing with injuries …

Not to mention NSH was 3pts out with CGY ahead and still missing out on the playoffs (and that CGY massively underperformed).

COL, DAL and MIN are divisional locks. Looking at the WC, while WPG maybe steps back, CGY steps forward. NSH is a fringe playoff team, fringe. Far from “competing” and “winning a round or two”.

They had the exact same record and number of points as Florida this year, and were an 8 seed when they went to the finals in 2017. You just need to get into the top 16 in todays NHL

But the difference is they didn’t sell off/buy out most of their roster before the playoff run lol

Predators can’t offer sheet because they don’t have their own 2nd. You need your team’s picks to do an offer sheet

Never mind, Capfriendly made it seem like they didn’t have it
