So Nylander and Murray get the Leafs Barabanov and Petry? You couldn't possibly be serious

A 2nd as well, Murray's caphit is a negative value and if Nylander doesn't agree to an extension his value is reduced. Not a lot of teams can take the 7+5 million TOR needs to clear atm

I would think if
Sharks get Blomqvist 2nd and Nylander they are happy.

Sharks aren't retaining on both Karlsson and Petry, Plus Petry has all Canadian teams on his no trade list. Petry isn't waiving for Toronto.

Do you actually think that if this was the return for Nylander that the Leafs would trade him at all?

Yeah I think you're right about the Canadian teams, though not sure why SJS would be opposed to retaining on both if it allows them to trade Karlsson & also get Nylander. They have more than enough space to do so

Yeah I figured that much, the hypothetical here was that he would agree to SJS if they flip him to a contender at the deadline. He'd also get insane minutes for UFA contract negotiations

Poorly thought out; you are essentially dumping Willy nylander to shed cap 🤦🏻. Appreciate the help but the leafs will be 100% cap compliant by season’s start and I guarantee they won’t be dumping a 40 goal scorer to do so
