Impossible but hey

Description
From the outside looking in, Dallas has the most complete roster in the league. Top to bottom, every projected line works. Top line of young studs with a cup hungry vet, second line of an exciting but unproven C with veteran scoring lineages, one of whom knows the position, a minute munching shutdown D pair with a good middle pairing, a true #1 goalie; basically everything. The only thing they don't have is a reliable 3rd pairing and cap space. Both of those issues are "solve it during the season" issues. But if they wanted to do something this offseason, and IF (this is the big if that makes this impossible) Seguin wanted to waive his NMC, maybe this is a beneficial trade for both sides.
Seguin and Boston didn't gel for a number of reasons, but Chiarelli is long gone, Seguin is more mature, and Montgomery and Seguin reportedly had a good relationship. And above all, Patrice Bergeron is just so likeable, if he comes back...

Easy decline for Dallas. Harley is better than half that defense. Lindell and Hakanpaa should never play together again after that Vegas series. Delly not playing for Smith is a mistake. Stick to your team 😉

This trade seems like robbery, Seguin is a 50 pt 31 yo player at 7,85 mil you get 2 good players in their prime and upgrade a pick? Surely Seguin has close to 0 value on the market especially at that cap hit and for 4 more years. On top of that seguin dont waive his NMC to go to boston.

Boston would probably want alot more in return in order to even entertain this IMO

The second biggest mistake of Nill was to sign this dude WITH that contract.

The biggest mistake of Nill was to NOT buy him out a month ago.

Ego and pride had a lot to do with that last decision to keep Suter on the roster. This organization will learn that the hard way this upcoming season that they should have bite the bullet.

I was expecting a Suter buyout. Stars are a top 4D away from winning a Cup in my opinion.
