That's not getting Crouse.

I took the last 2 seasons only which are Crouse's best 2 seasons to avoid any "cherry picking stats" accusation

Lawson Crouse : $4,300,000 x 4 years, 0.56 PPG (46 pts per 82 games)
Mathieu Joseph : $2,950,000 x 3 years, 0.38 PPG (31 pts per 82 games)

Crouse costs 1.35 more per season but is a clear upgrade offensively. They are both good defensively but Joseph has elite PK metrics. They are the same age, Joseph is a plus skater.

So what would the swap costs? A 1st + 2nd seems good no?

All I know is Sens fans will rejoice if and when Joseph is no longer playing for the Ottawa Senators. Cherry picking stats to prove your false narrative doesn't move the needle for me.

Joseph has done nothing wrong outside of not scoring ES goals last season. He did his job defensively and excelled on the PK as usual.

Sens fans want to get rid of his salary to sign another big name like Tarasenko, which is understandable after trading DeBrincat. He's basically the only salary that is worth moving. Others are core players or inexpensive players. That is the reason why he is thrown in these ACGMs. It doesn't mean that the Senators want to trade him in the real world.

And he will actually be needed this season, he is the Sens 3rd best bottom-6 forward after Kubalik and Pinto. And the best PKer. The only reason you'd trade him is to acquire a significant Top-9 upgrade.

A year ago, Sens fans were extremely high on him after he scored 12 pts in 11 games playing Norris and Tkachuk. Finally, they realize he was just a bottom-6 forward this season, so they were disappointed.

How the hell is that "cherry picking stats"? Some people actually have no idea what that could even mean lol... And I specifically said that I took Crouse's best 2 seasons to avoid the comment but you still come up with it? That's delirious! tears of joy

I imagine you also have no idea what "narrative" means. Or maybe just a "false" belief of understanding
