Why does Nashville do this? Brodie is marginally better and is $3,000,000 more expensive. Lauzon is also signed 2 more years.

They dont. No matter how you slice it, it doesnt make sense for nashville. If Brodie plays lhd, either he or McDonagh end up on the third pair and thats kust way too much cap to invest in a 3rd pairing dman plus brodie is 7 years older than Lauzon and Nashville is retooling. It just doesnt make sense.

Basically that was my point. I just wanted to see if the poster could possibly justify this.

The Leafs would never offer it but if they did they would decline it. They have no interest in someone who won’t help the rebuild
