Not enough for Dallas to move on from Harley, He is a promising young defenseman that played big minutes in the playoffs and showed up. It would be a pricy package to get him.

The more I see the Jarnkrok to Avs deal proposed on the Leafs ACGMs, the more I like it. Drop the sixth. COL should do the deal if it's Jarnkrok for a fourth rounder.

I have been curious about what Dallas has been doing with him. What is his cost and do you think they would trade him?

like the name, like the Avs trade. Throw in a prospect with no chance at the NHL, will flounder in the AHL and then move on to europe and we got a deal

He was our second best defenseman in the playoffs despite some growing pains and will likely play top 4 minutes this year with a chance to run PP2. As a seamless skater with size who is excellent in transition and also cost controlled he's essentially untouchable unless you're really willing to overpay for him.

The Jarnkrok trade puts our butt's up against the cap, but it would solidify our bottom 6. I'm intrigued. I'd say only one pick as well.

Just messed around with some ACGM stuff. Fitting in Jarnkrok while still filling out our roster will be close to impossible. We would need to make at least one more trade involving someone making above 1 mill, and I just don't see that happening.

The way I see it, it would be ideal for the Avs to bring in one more depth forward and one depth D. I'm ok with them letting Meyers and others fight for a 4th line spot, but I don't want the AHL guys filling two offensive spots. Jarnkrok at $2.1M would fit, though it would essentially rule out a depth D signing, leaving one spot on the 3rd pairing to be rotational with JJ/Dermy/probably Hunt. When you say it's impossible to bring Jarnkrok, what do you mean? Maybe you have a different ideal scenario that makes it not work. Or maybe you're thinking beyond this year?

I am not opposed to Lafferty to the Hawks, but I am not really seeing room in the lineup for him.

I hope he plays top four next year otherwise he is starting to disappoint

Maybe my math is wrong, but when I add Jarnkrok we are left with 700K in cap space. Vet minimum is 775 next year and we still need to sign Meyers. Unless Toronto retains, we can't afford Jarnkrok.

My bad, I totally spaced that Meyers hasn't signed yet. Probably because I can't understand what the hold up is and if Meyers actually thinks he has a lot of leverage or what.

We qualified him and he can't file for arbitration, so yeah, I'm not too sure. It has to be either AHL guaranteed money or possibly he wants a one-way deal. Either way, it does start to feel like things aren't great between us and him. I get that he might want some security, but his numbers.......aren't even numbers. I think his future is bright, but he doesn't really have a leg to stand on here.
