The Jets would be more interested in Kochetkov rather than Anderson

Uhhh... what?

Why would Carolina do the Montreal trade? Beck is a C prospect, the picks don't come close.

WAY too much for Helle, goalies don't return a lot, forget rental goalies

What are you talking about. Beck is a B+ prospect. You just said goalies aren’t worth much, but Kochetkov getting the equivalent of a first a second and a third doesn’t come close. Habs don’t even consider that trade

Brother, if you think Beck is a B prospect... may lord have mercy on your expectations. Goalies that are on the wrong side of 30 who are pending UFA's don't tend to return a lot. Look at the Kuemper deal that the Avs had to make when they were desperate for a goalie because Grubauer actually left and they weren't expecting that. Carolina are paying more here for an older goalie. Kochetkov is a goalie prospect. A 2nd and 2 3rds or the equivalent of for the insurance policy to an injury prone goalie tandem just ain't it.

Have you watch Beck. He is a monster. He would be your best prospect. Just look him up. The Kuemper deal was a first, a great prospect (at the time) and a third. Terravainen is worth a first, Andersen is worth Timmins. Beck is for the difference between Hellebuyck (who is a top 5 goalie in the leagues btw while Kuemper was barely a top 15). That deal is borderline in term of value. Also, Kochetkov isn’t a top goalie prospect. He is like 26 and haven’t make the nhl consistently yet. Best I would give is Primeau and a third

Okay, stop. You're trying to argue Beck would be Carolina best prospect? Are you serious? Let's ignore the fact that Alexander Nikishin exists who just had the best KHL season by a Russian D man ever, that's low hanging fruit. Scott Morrow is breaking Cale Makar's UMass school records... you're delusional.

Beck was below a point per game after his trade to Peterborough and that Petes team was loaded after adding guys like Othmann who came in and played really really well. Beck's fine, but as an overager (as in over draft age) in the Canadian Junior leagues, not being above a PPG is just not great. He is if you include the first part of the season in Mississauga, but not being able to produce on a better team is a really worrying sign.

Teuvo's worth a 1st, but Freddie is worth more than Connor Timmins come on. Timmins is a spare defenseman, Freddie is coming off a .940 postseason and is a year removed from the William M Jennings Trophy. Stop it. Helle's on the wrong side of 30, he's a rental goalie. At least Kuemper at the time was just about on the right side of 30 and that was with the Avs being absolutely desperate for a netminder. Freddie isn't a big drop off from Helle, no need to do this.

Morrow and Nikishin may have good number, but they aren’t as good defensively than Beck. I honestly had to search Nikishin. Seems like a Gusev type. Superstar in khl, bad in nhl. Beck is nhl ready (he played one game and didn’t look bad at all). Bergeron barely had a PPG in his junior year, but was praised for his defensive game. Same thing for Beck. Also, in my opinion and in the opinion of many habs fans, Beck is a better prospect than Hutson, who has better number than Morrow.

Freddie isn’t worth more than Timmins AT THE TIME OF THE TRADE. He was a super great prospect. With hindsight, he wasn’t worth a lot, but AT THE TIME he was. Also, if Freddie was on any other team, he would have mid number. Carolina’s defense is just too good. Also, at the time of the trade, Kuemper was 31. Hellebuyck is 30. Do some research before you post something that stupid.
