Nylander will be UFA after this season …. So Habs can wait unless it’s sign & trade

I would consider this for sure. I would much prefer no Allen being there or slight retention on Anderson. Either way this is a sizeable package. Kidney, Mailloux, 1st, 2nd is a haul and a half. Anderson is HUGE, fast and can score, but has very limited hockey IQ and I don't love his cap. Allen is also expensive for what he brings.

Since Nylander is a pending UFA, I would think hard on this.

No we don't.

Habs have Monahan, RHP and Dach short term, Anderson and and Slaf mid term and Roy + Mesar in the pipeline.

We need a starter goalie and center depth most of all. Even top 6 LW is a bigger need since Newhook haven't proved anything and Habs have no prospect of such kind.

Well at least some of them have the potential to be.

On the left side, not only is Caufield not a 1st line LW on a good team, but there's no one else.

Building a team isn't just patching holes for game 1 of the season, it's long term planing.
