I def. don't mind that option... but would prob. would have to be a 3 team deal bc Anaheim doesn't need Brodie rn

If ANA wants to start turning the corner this season then Brodie would be a great add for them. Can play either side for the year while some of their younger Dmen continue to develop.

Yes, but that time now? I don't think the Anaheim management is thinking of this year as a chance to compete for the cup but rather see what their young guys can do while still getting a high overall draft pick

Just off the top of my head they still have these guys under 26: Troy Terry, Trevor Zegras, Jamie Drysdale, Owen Zellwegger, Leo Carlson, Max Jones and Lunderstrom. It's a nice core, but they've also not had a ton of NHL expirience (with the exception of Zegras and Terry).

I think they would view the addition of Brodie as a spot taken from one of their young guys... so I think they would look to a team like the Oilers or Canucks as a 3rd team option (a team who's in desperate need of defence and who want to win)

Ducks make a ton of sense to make a deal depending on who is on the no trade lists for Brodie and Murray. Especially if they inevitably trade Gibson.

    We should just give Dumba a 1 or 2 x $4,500,000

That would be easier for sure, haha. But Brodie is the better Dman.

4.5 million is much much better than 13.5 million

Even if they don't want to turn the corner, Brodie gives them a legit top pair defensive defenceman they can flip for a 1st plus at the deadline. Hell if Murray stays healthy he could push Gibson (who has not been great for a few seasons) and they could flip him as well.

If he wanted to sign with you. Klingberg tried the old "rebuild my stock" idea in Anaheim and it really didn't go over too well.

That’s fine — we had to spend 7 million no matter what last year so

I’m taking Dumba for 4.5 over Brodie for 13
