Description

This seems to be what would make everyone happy. Ek at 7.5 gives the sharks enough leverage to get the return they desperately desire. They could off load part of the salary to a third team but SJ would have to help with that trade package. Pens get a game changing defender that should pair very well with fellow swede Petterson. The part that could really benefit the Sharks is if the pens make the ECF in 2024 the age of the pens could have them implode in 2025 and the sharks could get a top 10 pick.

SJ will probably want Blomqvist as a part of the package for that much retention + all that salary coming back. Also need a 3rd team for Petry, but that might not be too hard.

Whatever the package is, I agree that SJ should retain around that much.

If the sharks want to retain any less the picks and pospexts will start ti be taken away. The ownership for the sharks is really screwing the team over by not retaining the max on this contract. If they were willing to we could see 2 firsts and a grade a prospect being given to them easily. But with how stingy they are being its going to cost the team.
