From an outside observer, I'd ask for someone other than Granlund, Pittsburgh is talking about buying him out and his production has been not great. Try for Rackell or Guentzel honestly. Also, if you're going to ask for DeSmith trade away Blackwood or KK. DeSmith should be playing on the Sharks big club, not sitting in the press box.

Guentzel won’t be on the table and Rakell would likely decline to waive for SJ. If either were available the deal would probably be done by now. It’s Granny included or bust, which is why we’re watching a staring contest between the clubs.

Crazy of you to even think Guentzel or Rakell would be available. Dubas would hang up and move on. SJ has no leverage to get a good haul for Karlsson since he decides where he wants to go. They’ll have to take Granlund or Petry for this deal to happen

Totally understand this is the case. And this is why I think this stalemate will go on for a while. Y'all are VERY right to not want to trade away one of your good players, but if I'm a Sharks fan I don't want to see a dud coming back for a Norris winner. Just the nature of the situation.
