Is Petry better than Chiarot? Not at his age now. He’s in massive decline. 36 yrs old in Dec vs 32 yrs old until May ‘24.

Certainly not when 6.25M vs 4.75M is considered

And you want the Wings to pay for the trade with a draft pick. They wouldn’t do it straight up.

Yes - even at his age now. He's not in a massive decline. He could drop off a cliff at any moment sure - but based on last season there's no massive decline. And he's clearly better than Chiarot

Disagree--along with the GM's in the league since the Pens are actively trying to give him away so they can get Karlsson and there haven't been takers.

It's kinda hard to disagree with facts though haha. I think we can all agree that Petry is better than Chiarot.

He's a 35 year old making 6.25mil and has a 15 team NTC and basically half the league is over the cap or having cap issues - that's why there haven't been any takers. Not because GM's think he's in a massive decline - there's no evidence of that. It's just nearly impossible to find a team that isn't on his NTC that has cap space. The Pens are trying to give him away so they can get the Norris winner - it's not like they are actively trying to give him away for nothing just because he sucks.
