We really need to stop taking this garbage so seriously, some jackass beat writer throws darts at a board and posts a trade he thinks should happen and suddenly everytbody thinks its the truth.

As a Devils fan i can say this is unequivocally untrue, go lookup any interview with Tom Fitzgerald recently, he's talking a Mercer extension not trade, no other Jersey media has posted anything about this either.

Please please just stop

I'm not even sure the Devils would do Foote and a 4th for Hanifin...the Devils are not going to eat up their remaining cap space on a defenseman when Luke Hughes, Simon Nemec and Seamus Casey are ready to contribute on the backline. There's no way that Dawson Mercer then gets included in this package. Now...if you want to trade Blake Coleman for Nolan Foote and a 4th, the Devils might listen.
