But we already now have a 40 goal scoring winger and locked in at a much more reasonable cap hit at 7.8m. Even if DeBrincat doesn't hit 40, he's still good for around 30. Nylander, more specifically the cap hit that comes with him, is not needed. All that cap space will be going towards locking up Mo Seider long term and a new deal for Lucas Raymond.

1yr of Nylander is not worth that!!!!!! He wants $10M+ a season and see isn't going to sign for less and someone will probably give it to him as a UFA.
