Since the Leafs were scouting Elliot I brought in raanta and it seems to work best with the hurricanes cap wise as well.

Canes don't have the RD depth to do this. Skjei, maybe. Pesce? No.

I actually think I went too far accepting Pesce for nylander straight up with only 1 year on Peace's deal and you decline it...I mean the canes roster was set with Rd in there it's a pretty good d core Slavin skej, orlov, burns but hey if you say so..

I will say the canes forwards are almost too good to even need Nylander but talks are out there

No there isn't. This is so ridiculous at this point. 6 years ago Carolina offered Pesce for Nylander and Dubas said no and asked for Slavin. Pesce wasn't worth Nylander then, he isn't now and never will be. Hall for Larsson all over again.

Pesce isn't close to valuable enough to get Nylander. Countering with a worse defenceman is just so on par with this ridiculous conversation

I am not arguing with Hall vs Nylander, it doesn't matter. The point is the difference between Nylander and Pesce is vast. Hall for Larsson taught us this.

Also you are 100% a fan who argued endlessly that Nylander was just a 60 point winger, back when all the cane fans dreamed of getting Willy. It's always the same with you, you **** post the player you want to make yourself seem reasonable for offering a crap return.

This is surprisingly one of the better offers I have seen. With that said, take away Petruzzelli and the 2025 2nd and I think this could go through and help both teams - those additions are pointless to this proposal and Canes aren't interested. I will say that it is more likely that CAR tries to make that Skjei instead of Pesce. Imagine Skjei, 2024 1st, and Raanta or a top prospect for Nylander.

I don't think Toronto takes anyone other than burns, Slavin or Pesce on d... appreciate the praise on the deal lol cheers
