Kaliyev is about to go from Lizotte/Kupari to PLD, I think he's in line for an offensive boost, which the Kings will need after moving Vilardi, Durzi, and Iafallo. They got their LD in Gavrikov.

Sanjose says no - they aren't retaining that much and then adding 4 more years of campbell at 5mil

That seems to be at least one 1st rd pick short of fair value for EK65 and especially so since you’re suggesting that they retain 3.5m, take Campbell’s contract back and send an NHL ready prospect in Okhotiuk back.

Devils have neither any cap nor any need for Kulak, some other team might take a flyer on him though.

Prospect swap with LA is interesting but they are kinda full on LHD prospects so I’d suggest trying a different team to swap prospects with.

I get that it’s only a mid rd pick but I think even that is a bit of an optimistic return for a winger surplus to requirements given how little cap space there is around the league. Might have the be a future considerations deal to move that cap out. I like Foegele a lot though and think he is a very underrated forward so any team with the cap to pick him up should benefit from doing just that and Buffalo is a good suggestion for such a team.

I have to agree with you!
Breaking down this deal Copponi and Okhotiyuk would be similar in value.

essentially your trading is Campbell at 8.5 mil for Karlsson at 8.

You can’t tell me the difference between those two is only Boregault, 24 late 1st and a 2nd 3 drafts from now.
One is a guy who just won a Norris and scored 101 points last year and the other lost his starting job to a Rookie.
