In this hypothetical, why would Toronto want to pay Zegras 10M? The guy hasn't done anything significant to command that type of money, he has no leverage (no arbitration, no risk of 10M offer sheet etc...), and it's much more than any other young C has gotten. Zegras is the perfect candidate to lock up for cheap, now and get a great value contract. The number should start with a 7 or 8 at most.

Bad attitude? I honestly love Zegras and it's mainly for his personality I'm not even a ducks fan! Terry and Zegras will get signed and Matthews is not worth the Ducks future

If the Ducks want Matthews, they’ll wait until next offseason to sign him and keep Terry and Zegras as well
