I think you need to drastically lower your expectations on a return for him. The above deal would be a great return. 2 1sts, a solid prospect, and a 2nd pair defenseman that can be flipped or extended. I generally don't like the argument of "just flip them for more assets" but you are already getting a haul on top of that.

At 28 he's going to be looking for a long term contract to take him in to his 30s. You're going to have Michkov coming over, already have tippett playing and are going to need roster spots for brinks and foerster.

Tippett can play LW and literally did so for a bit last season. TK can also play LW and has before. There’s no guarantee Brink turns into anything at this point. RW depth can easily be Michkov TK Foerster and Tippett can go to LW and be Cutter Tippett Farabee or Tippett Farabee Brink if Cutter plays at C. But again tell me how you know more about our depth than I do.

DeBrincat is better than TK but not significantly. He also forced his way out of his 2nd team now and needed a new contract that is almost double TK’s.
