As soon as the Karlsson situation calmed 3 weeks ago I immediately thought this week would be the time Frame it would get done, if ever.
O Connor is now signed and the buyout window opens Saturday if we need to offload Granlund… any trade for Karlsson needs retention and offloading Petry regardless of where he goes… DeSmith and ruutta are 2 other contracts I can see being moved to get below the salary cap

Don't know who takes Petry and personally think it'd make more sense to send Granlund to SJ in a deal.

Either way, I don't think it happens.

SJ will end up trading him next summer.

My god, people are being so dramatic. Do you think Dubas and Grier have been talking everyday for the past 2 months? No, these guys are on vacation, spending time with their families, and waiting for Free Agency to settle. EK is chillin in Sweden. Nothing is rushed to get done and likely won't get done until training camp, just like the last time EK was traded. I mean the last trade OF ANY KIND was nearly a full month ago.

Just because a deal hasn't been made doesn't mean things have dramatically changed.
