Brutal. Unless we get Karlsson or a major goal scorer this team will be out of playoffs by December. Not trying to be harsh but just how it is I think. Not enough scoring throughout lineup even if everything else goes perfect and there's zero other injuries.

I think we should either sign Tatar or trade for another middle-6 scoring winger. I don’t think Karlsson will be a good idea. Him and Burns didn’t work out so what makes everybody think him and Letang will be any better. Somebody’s going to get the short end of the stick and miss out on ice time and PP1 time. It’s not going to go over well.

I’m just wondering when the injury occurred?
Like on the wording from Dubas’ statement it seems the ankle was acting up at the end of last season. Then jake took some time off, then as he started ramping up the intensity of his training it flared up

Karlsson will bring a tremendous amount of offense and puck movement to the team, which is something we desperately need. He can play on a pair with Pettersson, who will mesh will given his style. Being able to have Karlsson or Letang on the ice 80% of the time will give us a huge advantage over other team. And I doubt people will get upset about having less PP1 time. Certainly isn't a reason to not get him. Our power play has been awful the past few years. Karlsson would drastically improve it so I don't think anyone would have the right to get mad given how bad it's been. Letang and Karlsson on the same power play would make it elite. By all accounts the core wants him to come here. I don't know who would get mad.
