I feel like if the Flames are taking on Granlund it should be a first regardless.

i Don't think you can do conditions based on signings now so it would have to be performance based like win the cup or he hits 50P or something

I very well would be wrong tho but I heard that somewhere recently

There is no such thing as conditional re-sign picks

He's a top-4 D rental. I think a conditional 2nd is fair enough.

I think you're right. We haven't seen such conditionals recently. Thanks.

As I just said, we haven't seen in recent years indeed. I should used The_boogie_man suggestion. Thanks, anyway.

The rule was changed in the Covid CBA update as the NHLPA thought conditional re-sign picks hurt players values

Let me clarify....Sully will not play him as a RD because he is a left shot. He has stated that he will only put D on their off side if he has no other choice because it messes up coverage.

I prefer Hanifin defensively playing on the right side than Karlsson. Karlsson is a one-way player. Marvelous offensively, but an average player, at best, defensively. And both are the Pens options right now. That's why I prefer a younger and all-around player like Hanifin, even playing on the right side.
