Johnson isn't happening.

We don't need anymore defensemen, let alone another top 4 LD.(who won't extend)

Lindholm isn't worth loosing Johnson, Sillinger MAYBE but I don't think CBJ will move him so quickly. Lindholm isn't needed, if he's UFA maybe jackets take a shot but no need to give up top assets for him.

Vladar isn't of any use to Columbus, we have Elvis and tarasov.

Dube + 3rd for Roslovic + Peeke

Lindholm is the only guy in the trade that makes sense for the Jackets. They wouldn't have the cap space to re-sign Hanifin and they're stuck with Merzlikins and Tarasov for the year so Vladar isn't necessary.

If I were trying to come up with a legit Lindholm offer it would probably be something like the 2024 1st top 10 protected, Ceulemans, the Flames choice of Del Bel or Dumais, and Roslovic. It's a better package than what Horvat returned, but it's not the ridiculous return Calgary fans have been expecting since that dumb Athletic writer first mentioned 3rd OA as a possibility and the dummy Portzline supported the idea. If this isn't good enough then w/e, I'd just pass on Lindholm if any of Jiricek, KJ, Marchenko, Fantilli, Mateychuk, Sillinger, Brindley, Voronkov, or Svozil are a demand.

That's kind of crappy for Cbus imo.

Dube has more upside then Roslovic and we've simply got too many RD atm, so it's trading from strengths imo , but it definitely could be seen as a step sideways.
