Pretty sure Vegas is still going to want to run 4 lines with Eichel, Stephenson, Karlsson, and Roy all down the middle. However that doesn't mean this would be a bad fit. I just don't think they would want to move Kolesar.

Kolesar would be tough to move, but in terms of cap space and making it work..... maybe the guy.

Ummmm. No. Lol

Joseph is much better than his metrics last year indicate. His linemates were garbage. Has a negative effect.

Has the speed to be a force on the forecheck, the size to use his body. Like Kolesar, much more to the game than numbers indicate. Unlike Kolesar, Joseph's game is far more rounded.

I think Joseph would be a decent addition for Vegas but Kolesar plays a certain role for them and he does it well. They really don't have anyone who can step into that role

Oh, I get that.

Maybe it is Carrier?

I am one of those crazy people that see Joseph having a positive value. Only reason the Sens take a slight loss on the deal is that Dorion created a cap situation.

The contract is bad for VGK [and OTT], but not for all teams... that said he's neutral at best

He's a solid player. I think he would fit well on Vegas' 3rd line. Definitely hard to justify moving any of Kolesar, Howden, or Carrier for him though. Could maybe see Howden

I think Howden would upgrade the Sens 4th line.... which is what a Joseph deal is likely to do.

This is a smart move for both teams.

Sens lose Joseph but get a good 4th liner and clear enough space to sign Pinto

Vegas is hungry for more and a guy like Joseph would look good on Nicolas' wing, really good. Good upgrade for a small amount

And this is a common theme with him... lol

Let's not forget that Kolesar is a great 4th liner with a huge physical presence who fits in perfectly with Roy and Carrier to create a depth line literally any other NHL team would kill for, but the most important thing to remember is that Mathieu Joseph is dog water on an absolutely horrendous contract. I think McAphee would need to have an aneurysm if he is to even consider this trade.
