I think sharks HAVE to start bringing in Rookies, you don’t want 5-5+ rookies next year and thereafter.
I expect min Eklund and Thrun to be in the opening night roster.
But you’re right Grier sets his lineup to force the younger guys to have to earn and win spots and not just be given them. And I can’t hate him for that.

Actually we have a lot of good D options now and I think Thrun and Gawanke get the longest look in camp and have the opportunity to win a spot.
