I like DeSmith more than a 6th but why would Colorado do this? They already have two goalies in Georgiev and Francouz.

Pit doesn't have the cap, so unless Carter magically ends up on LTIR, or MTL retains a significant amount and a third team retains more, I don't see a deal happening. And at that point where loads of salary is being retained, it wouldn't be worth it for PIT to give up loads of assets for him

I mean, maybe at the TDL for injury cover, but otherwise keep the 6th and draft a young goalie to develop makes more sense.
