That seems like a lot of assets to clear roughly 900k of cap space don't you think?

Great for the Devils but I don't understand why LA is giving up Turcotte to make 1m in cap space

I actually think Clarke is better than Turcotte, although Turcotte has the higher upside due to pedigree. But Clarke was actually younger than him last year and was much better in the same league. For Kings, they only have 6 defenseman on the active roster and about $100k of cap space so this would free them up with enough space to keep an extra defenseman. Could see the Devils shooting over maybe a 3 or 4 to the Kings to make it more even.
