Oshie is better as an idea at this point than he is as a player
He old & misses too much time every year now

It’s been 8 years since he was able to play close to a full season
Pass on this idea

Keep in mind Olo sat many games last year ON PURPOSE. Because of that, I'm fine with the above swap considering what BUF would want him for and the fact that Quinn is back in Sept. Similar role to Erik Johnson on D as a vet who has won a cup. Can also give adequate load management to Oshie by cycling Jost, Kulich, Oshie, Rousek in and out of the lineup. Serves as a placeholder until Quinn returns and then provides veteran depth/leadership come playoff time. I think Oshie would be PERFECT and would fit the exact mold that KA has done already w/ Craig Anderson and Erik Johnson. I get we already have vet leadership with Okposo... but Oshie HAS WON A CUP on a team that had been underperforming over many years... Similar tune to BUF continually missing the ploffs.

Maybe this move gets done once Quinn returns as they'll likely move on from Olo at that point anyway?

Except Oshie get hurt so much now that u can’t count on him for any of that- or to even be healthy for the playoffs
It would be a coin flip at best

Not sure what your problem.with trading a guy we don't need and is going to be gone (please god) next year anyway for some one who brings something different and benificial to this team. The fact that he gets injured is a bonus. It give you the chance to call up prospects. Come play offs the current roster is going to be golfing anyway or swept from the first round at best so im not sure why it matters if oshies in or out but it would be nice to get something useful for olofsson before he's gone.

That’s just it
Oshie isn’t useful when he’s hurt
And if the idea is just to get kids in the lineup,
then there’s no need to acquire him in the first place

To get olofsson of the roster without his cap hit.
Can't help but notice hes still here and most teams are done. So......this would be a great opportunity.

Also his benifits that olofsson offers are veteran and cup winning experience, fits anywhere in bottom 9. Plays hard in front of the net, sound defensive forward.

*only when healthy

Also, I’m not as quick to dump Olofsson off the roster as u seem to be
But if we did, I’d like to get a player who doesn’t get hurt EVERY single year- that doesn’t help us

Caps wouldn’t do this trade so it’s kinda a moot discussion for whether it helps either team. Buffalo is better off keeping Olofsson.
