So lets get on to the obvious issues here instead of the debatable topics.
Leonard is a top 20 prospect in the entire Nhl. He is considered an elite skilled power forward type player. (Granted I did not think he would make it to 8th overall in the draft but he did)
Trivigno is not a top prospect, he was undrafted and put up under 0.50 ppg in the AHL last season sure he wasn't bad for Umass but he is 24 years old with relatively poor development.
That first is almost sure to be a late first rounder.
So in short you are requesting that the capitals give up their literally top prospect (a top prospect in the entire nhl), their best lockerroom guy and fan favorite in Oshie, Max pacioretty whom they just signed and if he can get healthy again can be a top line player, and Joe Snively who is a boarderline ahl/nhl player
FOR
Panarin who is a top line player for sure who was invisible in the playoffs last year and is going to be 32 at the start of this season, a little no name prospect who will be around the same level as snively and a late first.
So.
Snively for Trivigno is fair
Leonard > Panarin and a Late first (mainly due to potential and age)
Oshie and Pacioretty are not compared to anything because you are willing to take their cap? With the cap hit projected to increase significantly next season this all makes no sense.
