Leafs move on from Nylander and his contract extension drama
Jets move on from Schiefele being "difficult" and Hellebuyck wanting out and a max extension
The money WPG would have to pay Hellebuyck goes to Nylander instead who is a right shot winger they need and in his prime, and a G who is younger and inevitably cheaper next year and beyond as well
TOR gets the proven, stud G they need who does NOT have any health issue history and the 2nd line center they need to allow Tavares to move to the wing.

Jets can’t afford the walk for nothing potential on nylander and not sure they can come to terms and keep nylander happy and the rest of the room if he gets what he is after, with basically all the leverage. Team control on samsonov is nice, but it all gets back to the 72 to 80 million needed to secure nylander for 8 years.
