We won't be trading Weegar he's a keeper. Even if you made one of those "offers that can't be refused" (this isn't even close!) we wouldn't retain 25 million in salary on him to boot!

We aren't looking for a defenseman far less two, we're looking to move Hanifin and maybe (hopefully) Tanev.

We'd probably take a cheap young 3rd pairing defenseman or a good defensive prospect as part of the return for Hanifin or Tanev but that's about it.

AZ wont take their last 2 retention slots up ( and pay almost 5m) for a late 1st and few more middle picks. Im sure other rebuilding teams still want assets but AZ has enough picks.
