Now this is most likely not going to be the case at all and Vancouver prolly won't move him but, him still going to explain my thought process behind it.

Vancouver as way to many options on the wing and Iv'e seen many cannucks ACGM where Podkolzin is on the 4th line or AHL, now im not taking that too serious but the point remain that Vancouver has a log jam on the wing may not want to retain cap or give up assets to get rid of a winger and clear a spot.

Podkolzin also hasn't Progressed the way Vancouver may have wanted as he has been disapointing so far in his young career and honestly may be the odd man out.

As for the pens side, The pens need youth in the Top 9 and mayby Sully can unlock Podkolzin Potential like he has done in the past with other players.

Unless the pens plan to run a Ty Smith and POJ pairing (Which i would not do), Ty Smith needs to be dealt as he isn't waiver exempt and is too good to be the healthy scratch.

From what iv'e seen for the Vancouver Depth chart, they could use a 3rd pairing dmen, one who has potential to become more than just a 3rd pairing guy and Ty Smith is that.

Value overall may be a bit off, but I don't think it's too far off.
