The Detroit trade is really any team with similar return. I actually doubt Vladar gets traded until in season after a couple goalie injuries.

Detroit signed UFA's Reimer and Lyon. They have backup goaltending covered.

If proposed before Yzerman signed Lyon and Reimer then I'd have no problem trading for Vladar.

For Lindholm at 50% that return is a little poor.

Actually there are some Wings fans that Vladar was their first choice for backup goalie.

Agreed, but Denton is a hell of a defensive prospect, one of the best out there. Would be a fantastic young gun dman to come up; replacement for Hnafin and then Tanev will be gone next year as well.

The return would be based A LOT on if its a sign and trade or just a straight up rental. This isnt bad for a one year rental hope we can keep him. If its a sign and trade then you can start adding some picks into the mix. Would hate to see matty go but we do have a solid number of young D prospects to work with aloong with Z and severson locked up plus Jiri, stan and corson coming.

Detroit should take that. Vladar is better than either bum we signed to be the back up. We'll be shopping for a goalie by Christmas as it is.
