I've hated Keefe for his coaching decisions as well. Putting players like Lily and Sandin in the doghouse and electing to play Justin Holl in the playoffs despite getting run over the first few games.

That McCann move annoyed the hell out of me.

The thing that bothers me is every fan , every analyst , all knew it should be Holl yet they chose McCann? Plus we lost Sandin because of poor management.

I was hoping they would take Kerfoot instead.

it's always funny when people blame the marleau trade for losing out on jarvis and not the marleau signing. Lol at Jeanott too, imagine wishing the leafs gave up a bunch of futures for that plug, or some sort of magical "we coulda got chychrun!" oh yeah? how do they get him? How did Brodie prevent it? how the hell did klingberg prevent it when he wasnt even signed yet when the trade happened? same with weegar. like, you cant just say "we could have gotten this player" and throw a bunch of stuff in a trade for him. And why wouldnt the leafs have room for Nylander with McCann? they simply wouldnt have signed much worse players like Bertuzzi or Domi if they had McCann.

I just feel Holl would have made more sense then forcing TML to play Liljegren who is better then Holl and try out Timmins to see what he really is. I think Timmins could be a solid player with a defensive partner.

The trades and who is there has nothing to do with anything. I was just ejecting what was needed and adding back all the mistake we made . The additions like Chycrun and Weegar and Tatar are just to fill room but the real thread is showing how much we gave away for nothing. It is a completely unrealistic thread just showing a possible what if that would be wayyyyy better then where we are .If you don't liek it kick rocks kid.

As stated above completely hypothetical trades. Not 1 is or is supposed to be realistic. This is about the players TO let walk or gave away or did not protect . The extra additions were just to fill team. Sorry bout Chycrun mistake , I meant we would have had more avaialable to trade for him , not sign my bad.

that's a long way to go to say that if your unrealistic fantasy was fulfilled the leafs would be better. Just adding a bunch of guys while hand waving any actual realistic way that they could have been added doesnt show anything except that if you wished really hard the leafs would be better with different moves.

except you arnt showing that at all, you are showing some things you think are bad and then using the magic of imagination to make the team better to try and prove your point. If you were trying to do what you are saying you did, there would be more actual work put into making the team realistically better.
