I would bet money on Sammy not coming back.

Especially if Woll steals 30+ starts and looks like the real deal.

Holy crap are those RFA deals overpays.

Let's see Robertson or Knies crack 5 goals in the NHL before we pencil them in for those deals.

Marner isn't getting 12
He might get 10.5, especially with how Treliving manages his negotiations

He absolutely will get a raise. 11.5 is absolutely the lowest I bet he takes.

I think the point is here that Matthews signing his deal doesn't hurt the team at all. Same with Willy getting more money.

Yeah that's true, he was already making so much that a little raise hardly makes a difference.

They'll be in cap trouble in a hurry if they give every RFA with 3 goals a couple million, though.

That Liljegren, Timothy contract. Too funny. 5M?!? The guy has never even hit 20 points and was a scratch in the post season.

Bewildered. Good word. Im bewildered because you dont even understand the cba. The Max increase is 5% per season which means at best its a 92.1M cap ceiling

It's called projecting.

Again, you are missing the point. They have plenty of room to do alot of stuff

So you are saying I MIGHT be 400k off?

While still being under that cap space

While being accused of overpaying people?

Thanks

The Leafs have the luxury of having 3 guys who are game breakers. Not many teams can say the same.

Yeah... But You can get 3-4 really good prospects who each can easily be game breakers + picks

Likely. Overpaying depth is what kills your cap. Not paying stars

He is frustrating for sure. And he very well could be the guy to leave but I also think he's undeniably a special player. When he figures it all out, and I believe it's a when not an if, he'll be a truly great player. I hope it happens in TO but that's up to him. Losing him so you can afford two FA's that won't produce as much as he does will be a bad idea.
