Hoglander isn't a bust, he's been great in Abby and still has some upside as a middle six winger. Rathbone on the other hand we should trade, he needs a change of scenery

Trading Hoglander would be a mistake, as would playing Pearson over Podkolzin

Hronek isn’t playing with Hughes. He’ll be 2nd pair

I agree with you. But Hronek might actually be on the top pair. The Canucks could do something like that to test the waters.

It's definitely curious about this and how the pairings look at camp and pre-season. For all we know, it will be Soucy with Hughes, Cole/Hronek and a spot up for grabs next to THE GREAT Tyler Myers.

The plan seems to be have Hronek run the 2nd pair, and have one of Cole/Soucy with Hughes and the other with Hronek

Hoglander's progression in Abby (I went to a few games in season and during the playoffs) was awesome, he looks like he has enough to stick and be effective. His willingness to learn alone says a lot.

I don't get how Canucks fans are so down on him and Podkolzin after one year. They are young players, figuring it out. Both have some great tools, and the brains and drive to make them work. If the Canucks can help them figure it out this year, it would be a massive boon to their lineup and cap situation.

Hoglander, the guy who is 8th in games played, and 12th in points in his draft class is a bust? How is that possible? He is a steal if anything
